Welcome to your child’s 'home learning tasks' page. We appreciate that keeping children engaged in their learning whilst at home is not going to be easy and so we have prepared content for your child that can be completed in their book (or any paper you have available). Each week, you can find an overview of the learning tasks added on this page. Further details and resources will be uploaded each day on “Wakelet”. The links for this can be found below. Keeping to a routine while at home may help to keep your child focussed and engaged – there is a suggested timetable below but please adapt this to suit your and your child’s needs best.
Time | Activity |
8:00am | Wake up, have breakfast, get dressed, say the morning prayer |
9:00am | Maths activity from Wakelet |
10:00am | Short brain break - any activity that takes you away from school work |
10:15am | English activity from Wakelet |
11:15am | Physical activity followed by making lunch together. There are many free resources you can access to get moving (listed below) or you can create your own! |
12:00pm | Lunch (don't forget to say your prayers) followed by free time |
1:00pm | Topic, Science or RE activity from Wakelet |
2:15pm | Short brain break - any activity that takes you away from school work |
2:30pm | Choose either spelling work, handwriting, reading or 'recall fact' work during this time. End the day with a prayer of your choice. |
3:00pm | Help with a chore around the house |
3:30pm | Free time. |
General | Neat presentation at all times. Sitting at a table to work if possible. |
English/Topic/RE etc | Where possible, only use a pen if you use one in school. Check that letters are correctly formed and joined. Review spellings and punctuation. |
Maths | Use a ruler when drawing lines. Work in pencil only. |
Each week, teachers will share the overview of the week's learning below. The resources and activities will be added to Wakelet on a daily basis.
