Briefing Note 3: 27th March 2020

Parent Update: COVID-19

Dear Parents and Carers of our Multi Academy Schools

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support, cooperation and good wishes at this difficult time.  I would equally like to recognise the continued dedication and commitment of St Nicholas Owen MAC leaders and staff who are providing a daily safe refuge for our vulnerable and key worker children.

The purpose of this briefing note is to outline the available provision in our MAC schools over the Easter holidays.  We understand that critical key workers will still need childcare support over the Easter break.  We have, therefore, committed to opening each of our MAC schools, subject to pupil numbers and staffing availability, over the Easter holidays for the children of critical care workers only.  Our vulnerable pupils are expected to stay at home to take advantage of the Easter holidays, as they would during a normal term time.

Over the Easter holiday period our schools will operate normal school hours every day, subject to pupil numbers and staffing availability, apart from Good Friday, 10th April 2020 and Easter Monday, 13th April 2020 when our schools will be closed.  The Easter holiday period is from Monday 6th April to Friday 17th April.  Parents will need to book places in advance via the individual school system.  Principals will contact relevant critical key worker parents with details of how places can be secured.  Please note, also, that the Our Lady of Fatima Before and After School Club will be closed, as normal, for the whole of the Easter break.

We continue to pray for the good health and safety of our entire St Nicholas Owen community.  St Nicholas Owen, Pray for us.

With very best wishes
