Pupil Leaders

Meet some of the most important people at our school – the children!

School Council members in Dudley Council chambers.

School Council

Our School Council is made up of two elected representatives from each class from Year 1 to Year 6.

The representatives are elected in September and meet regularly, giving pupils a chance to voice their opinions on how to make the school an even better place to learn.

Throughout the year, representatives of the school council work with the Principal to identify issues that affect the children in our school and find ways to address them.

Faith Leaders

The members of the Liturgy Team have a variety of jobs and ways in which they support the prayer life and the charism of St Mary’s Catholic School.

The children meet regularly to promote the Catholic Life of our school and discuss new ideas.

School Liturgies are a busy time and the team help to set up the church for Mass, preparing microphones, the altar and the overhead for songs. They also help to prepare and support school liturgies and assemblies.

The Faith Leaders meet regularly to prepare ahead for the coming events happening in the school calendar.

Other Responsibilities

There are other pupil committees in school such as Anti-Bullying ambassadors, Peer mentors and Mini-Vinnies.
